A diverse group of leaders from healthcare, academia, and business.
Comprising top GBM researchers and clinicians to guide funding decisions.
Hi, I’m Caroline Whitelaw – a driven and curious 17-year-old sophomore at Boca Raton Community High School with a deep passion for science and personal growth.
For five years, I played competitive beach volleyball, but made the difficult decision to step away and fully embrace my academic journey. That turning point helped me discover who I truly am and ignited a lifelong love of learning.
Today, school is a central part of my life. I’m actively involved in National Honor Society, Medical Honor Society, Science Olympiad, and Student Government. I also serve as Vice President of both Project Life and the Pickleball Club – leadership roles that have helped me grow as a team player and changemaker. Outside of school, I work part-time at Garden Butcher and Birdie Floral Truck here in Boca Raton, balancing responsibility with creativity and customer service. In my free time, I love reading, volunteering, staying active through health and fitness, and — believe it or not — studying. I’m passionate about making the most of these formative years and using my energy to build a meaningful future in science and service.

This mission is deeply personal. Both of my grandparents battled cancer, and I’ve watched close friends and their families suffer through the same fight. These experiences, combined with my passion for science, inspired me to take action. Lab to Life is dedicated to raising funds for medical research organizations working to prevent, detect, and treat cancer. Our goal is to fuel scientific breakthroughs while also supporting the cancer community, helping individuals not just survive, but live fully and thrive.
This is only the beginning, and I’m excited to grow this movement with others who believe in the power of science, compassion, and hope.
Lab to Life aims to accelerate the transition of groundbreaking research on Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM) from the laboratory to real-world applications. By raising funds and fostering collaborations, we strive to advance the development of innovative diagnostics and therapies for GBM, ultimately improving patient outcomes and quality of life.
A world where GBM is a manageable and curable disease, supported by cutting-edge medical research and community advocacy.
